2007 - 2008 Board of Directors

Matthew Klionsky was born in Kansas City, but lived in Pittsburgh from the age of seven until college. He attended orthodox Jewish day schools in grades 5-9 while his parents participated in founding of a Reconstructionist congregation. He graduated from Brandeis, Hahnemann Medical College, and the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.

Matthew has lived in Hyde Park since 1980, with the exception of two years in Boston. His professional life is oriented around medical data issues – the use of administrative datasets to assess quality of care, evaluate pricing patterns, identity fraud and more.

Matthew and his wife Susan Rosenberg have four children who all started Akiba in the pre-school. Matthew bakes most of the bread they eat and does most of the car (and other) repairs himself. Matthew has served Akiba for many years and in many capacities.
