2007 - 2008 Board of Directors

Sarah-Anne Schumann has been an Akiba parent since 2002. Her daughter Noa is in second grade, and her son Jesse is in the pre-school. Sarah-Anne grew up in Hyde Park. She lived in Boston for 15 years, during which time she attended Harvard College where she studied History and Literature; attended Harvard Medical School; and completed her residency in Family Medicine at Boston Medical Center.

She and her husband John moved back to Hyde Park in order to raise their children closer to family. Sarah-Anne is now a faculty member in the Department of Family Medicine at University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and sees patients at Chicago Family Health Center, a community health center in South Chicago.
