Grades 1 - 8 | Curriculum

Akiba-Schechter Jewish Day School offers an outstanding education in secular and Judaic studiesthat inspires, challenges and also nurtures each child. Boys and girls study all aspects of our curriculum toge ther in multi-age classes. Our small class sizes encourage a strong relationship between students and teachers; and personalized instruction enables each student to progress at his or her own pace.

High standardized test scores, awards in statewide math and science fairs, and numerous other scholastic achievements are strong measures of our students' academic success.

Graduates of Akiba go to excellent, competitive high schoolsthroughout the city, including the International Baccalaureate Program at Lincoln Park High School, University of Chicago Laboratory School, Kenwood Academy, and Ida Crown Jewish Academy. Our alumni attend such colleges as Columbia University, Northwestern University, Princeton University, Syracuse University, and Yeshiva University.
