Afternoon Purple Room & Late Pick-Up

Through my role as a substitute teacher for 6 years, I have experienced each Akiba classroom and I have learned from them all. In particular, one thing that has worked for me is to be flexible and to go with the flow of the children: each class and each child is different, and what works for one might not work for another.

Teaching is in my blood; I have many teachers in my family and my mother has been a great inspiration to me.  I hope to open up an artist's gallery and a children's art gallery.

I was born in Chicago, and before coming to Akiba in 1999, I studied art and worked for a Chicago law firm.

In my spare time I am learning to knit, learning to speak Japanese, and studying Fine Arts at the Art Institute of Chicago.
