I like to ask questions, nurture children's imagination, and help children give voice to their own stories. I give lots of hugs, and enjoy the playfulness and creativity of inventing games with the children in my class. My work is mostly on the floor; I love to build things with the children, from blocks to large-scale cardboard construction and everything in between.

Before moving to Chicago and coming to Akiba in 2003, I was the regional Director and Branch Manager of theatrical Distribution for New Line Cinema in Los Angeles. I proudly served my country in the U.S. Army for 4 years, including 2 years overseas. I am a mother of two girls at Akiba. I love music, movies, woodworking, and surfing. I was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
