Downstairs Green Room, Office Support, & Summer Camp Coordinator

The Green Room is the first school experience for many children, so I strive to help both the child and the family with a smooth transition into Pre-School. I also help children to work on their communication skills, to work in a group setting, to learn to share, and to become more independent. I particularly enjoy working with students who have special needs.

I came to Akiba in 1998. Prior to teaching Pre-School, I worked in other Hyde Park Pre-Schools and at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.

I was born in Chicago, am married and have one son, David. I have spent many hours with him on the soccer field. I love to ride my bike and can be found riding in the rain, snow, and sleet.
